The SFERA gangsaws have a rectilinear motion for the rapid sawing of marble blocks. The model SFERA is available in the version with 80 and 100 blades. The blade rack is at a fixed height, moved by a double connecting rod, whilst the block carrying trolley is installed on a platform and rises towards the diamond blades.
Alternate movement of the blade rack on hydrostatic guides
The alternate movement of the blade rack is extraordinarily efficient and reliable thanks to the use of hydrostatic sliding guides. This solution, that allows a slight sheet of oil in pressure to be interposed between the cylindrical guide surfaces and the slides, assures precise movements of the blade rack and absence of vibration due to the direct contact of mechanical elements. A special gearcase regulates the constant oil flow to the guides.
Guides of the block carrying platform
The block carrying platform is guided on two sides by “V” prismatic guides, whilst the other two sides are in contact on flat guides. The sliding takes place on skids made of material with low friction coefficient. The guides are preloaded so as to eliminate any vibration when sawing the blocks. The lifting of the platform is guaranteed by four big screws of large diameter working perfectly synchronized.
Transmission group with flywheel and double connecting rod
In the SFERA gangsaws all components that transfer the movement to the blade rack, flywheel and connecting rods, are dimensioned to guarantee functioning duration and perfect balance of the masses. The excellent dynamic balance is confirmed by the reduced power consumption that these gangsaws show even during the high productive performance they are capable of. Besides the design qualities there are also numerous constructive solutions that make all SIMEC gangsaws more precious and reliable, as for example, the use of multiple belt transmissions, the connecting rods obtained from a single steel piece worked with machine tools, the lubrication in oil bath of all the mobile parts of the transmission group and much more.
Motorized block-carrying trolley (available in different versions)
SIMEC machines have always differed for the rich standard equipment and the SFERA gangsaws are not an exception. The good water distribution system and the galvanized protection barriers are some examples. Besides the rich standard equipment, there is also a list of important accessories that allow any workshop to solve its specific needs.
Control with touch-screen display
Control with touch-screen display model CA/TL, which allows the visualization of all the working parameters but also the automatic control of the down feed speed according to the block dimension and the parameters set by the operator on display
Inverter
SIMEC offers the possibility to equip the SFERA gangsaws with special inverters capable of providing significant benefits in terms of energy consumption, resulting in savings of the electrical energy used by the machine, thanks to the greater fluidity of movement and efficiency of the system. The adoption of the inverter also offers the possibility of automatically vary the number of strokes according to the hardness of the material, the cutting edge of the tools and the downfeed speed. When exiting the block, the system slightly decreases the number of strokes automatically.
Thanks to the inverter, the start-up phase turns out to be extremely smooth and progressive and in case of emergency the machine can completely stop in 12 seconds, without stressing the structure. Finally, the transmission system, operating in a fluid way, significantly reduces vibrations and oscillations of the belts, increasing their lifetime
